More Soda Pop Tops and Designer Builder Brads

Hello again, thank you for the great response about the charms from yesterday. As promised, I have a few other pop tops and a flower embellishment to show you. Again, with Soda Pop Tops (129388) and Designer Builder Brads (129329).

 

Here my daughter and I made a Valentine cap and she made some Friend necklaces. The 1 and 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch (119854) was used as well as the 1/2" punch. Rhinestones were used to add embellishment as well.

 

For this one, the Big Shot and the Designer Builder Brads help to create a great little flower out of the More Amore Designer Fabric from the Spring Catalog. Some glimmer paper was used in the center under the acrylic sticker to add some bling. The flower was cut with 4 layers of fabric in one run of the Big Shot, then hand baste-stitched together near the center to avoid slipping. Then, I attached the brad to the flower with hot glue and finished the back with a circle of felt.

Here are two ways that I used the flower, as the focal point of a headband and as an embellishment on a tutu. So fun!

Pals Blog Hop February 2013!

Thank you for joining us for the February Pals Blog Hop! Today the Stampin' Pretty Pals are excited to introduce you to the Stampin' Up! products we LOVE. We hope you find new ideas for using the products you already have - or find new items to add to your wishlist.

 Well my favorite SU! isn't just one... it's the embellishments! I love creating 3D projects and the flexibility that the new line of embellishments in the Spring 2013 Catalog provide are phenomenal!! My daughter and I are enjoying crafting together lately and she is really into peace signs and bottlecap necklaces. So...as you could imagine I was soooo excited to see the Soda Pop Tops (129388) offered in the Spring Catalog. These and some jewelry cord or chain make some great little necklaces that are oh so popular right now. We chose a magnetic charm to add on our cording so my daughter can interchange different soda tops that we create.

 I also used the Itty Bitties (128939) stamp set for the peace sign and the small circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309) to punch out the little peace sign image. The Soda Pop Tops are awesome! You can fill them with so many wonderful little items. Punch stamp sets, use rhinestone or pearl embellishments or even the Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons (127555) as shown on my "Flower" Soda Top with a 1 and 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch (119854).

 

Another wonderful discovery was that not only did the Soda Pop Tops work as pendants for our necklace, so did the Designer Builder Brads (129329)! Again, I stamped the peace sign image using the In Color Markers Assortment (126856) in the colors Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, and Summer Starfruit. Also notice that I used the the epoxy bubble on the brad AND on the mini Soda Pop Top... another great discovery and something that is used very frequently in pop top caps.

I could go on and on about these great little embellies from the Spring Catalog...in fact...I do have more, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see the rest. As you can see, I'm all for the versatility that the embellishments, Itty Bitties stamps, and the punches provide! So fun!!

Just for the Fun of It - First Hop!

Thank you for hopping today with us, “Hopping Just for the Fun of it”.  Today’s theme is ALL HOLIDAYS, meaning just that, we all need to have cards ready for just that special holiday ahead of time or maybe we will have a test card first, before making all the cards needed for the holiday... For today's hop I decided to go with MDS (My Digital Studio) there are some awesome new downloads just recently posted. Today I'm highlighting the Wicked Fun designer digital kit. It comes with various DSP and brush set. I made a fun and easy invitation to an upcoming Halloween party. So simple, it took me only 15 minutes to design. MDS is so much fun!

The new catalog is out and it's so exciting to see all the new goodies awaiting purchase for my stamptuary! If you haven't taken a look, make sure to stop by my catalog page to view. Today, I chose one of the new hostess stamp sets to feature on my card. The new hostess program is awesome. Now, you can earn hostess dollars to spend on specially priced products. The stamp set I am using is called Posy Punch. It's featured on page 11 of the IBC catalog. It coordinates wonderfully with the Fancy Flower, 1" Circle, and 3/4" Circle Punches. I also went with a monochromatic scheme today using the new Wisteria Wonder color in the new 2012-2013 In Color Line! I think this is a fabulous color. A wonderful addition to the color collection. Make sure to check out the other new In Color hues in the catalog.

 

Notice the paper ruffle at the bottom of the card? I felt like getting a little crafty and used the Fancy Flower punch to help me make that ruffle. Want to know how I did it?
