Posy Punch Card - July Blog Hop!

The new catalog is out and it's so exciting to see all the new goodies awaiting purchase for my stamptuary! If you haven't taken a look, make sure to stop by my catalog page to view. Today, I chose one of the new hostess stamp sets to feature on my card. The new hostess program is awesome. Now, you can earn hostess dollars to spend on specially priced products. The stamp set I am using is called Posy Punch. It's featured on page 11 of the IBC catalog. It coordinates wonderfully with the Fancy Flower, 1" Circle, and 3/4" Circle Punches. I also went with a monochromatic scheme today using the new Wisteria Wonder color in the new 2012-2013 In Color Line! I think this is a fabulous color. A wonderful addition to the color collection. Make sure to check out the other new In Color hues in the catalog.

 

Notice the paper ruffle at the bottom of the card? I felt like getting a little crafty and used the Fancy Flower punch to help me make that ruffle. Want to know how I did it? PPA89 Challenge - Flowers!

 

Hello!

Today I finally made it to a PPA challenge! This one is a lot of fun and deals with something I LOVE to make, flowers! I made this layered flower by cutting Very Vanilla cardstock and then "sponging" ink on with a Stampin' Spot. Stampin' Spots are a great way to not only get one color group all at once at a reasonable price. But they're small enough for travelling and crafting AND can do fun little techniques such as sponging. The look is a little different than sponging which gives you another texture to your project.

Final Piece of the Wedding Set

Here is the third and final piece of the wedding set trio I have been working on this week. It is a Thank You card for all the goodies the bride and groom will receive at the wedding.

Wedding/Party Favor Purse

 
 

Hello again everyone!

Yesterday I promised an addition to the flower wedding card that I made yesterday and here it is! One at least, the Thank You card will be on it's way later today. I need to thank Yvonne Metz for the inspiration for the purse idea. Mine is a modification of her's.

This cute little purse could be used to hold a gift card to give bridesmaids or, put a little baggie on the inside to place some chocolate for a wedding favor or a bridal shower favor. The possibilities are endless!

 

Inside, there is a little section to write a personal note to the recipient. All in the same coordinating colors of the first card: Melon Mambo, Pumpin Pie, and Daffodil Delight.

A Spin on the Shamrock - Card

 

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Now I fully intended on working on the Pals Paper Arts Sketch this week but once I got in the studio my creativity went in a totally different direction. I knew I wanted to have a card that was either shamrock related or St. Patrick's Day related and well, this is what I came up with... a spin or twist on a shamrock card. I also found another use for my heart punch! I used 4 heart punches to make the shamrock and used SNAIL adhesive to adhere them to the card.

The stamp set I used in this card is Punch Bunch which I received FREE from Sell-A-Bration. It's so nice to have stamps that have detailed edges and with the press of a punch have it cut and ready to embellish a card. I added a little dimension with Stampin' Dimensionals to the center stamp. And finally, embellished in a couple of places with rhinestones.

My spring card today was inspired by a field of sunflowers we passed along the farmland near our house as we ran errands this weekend. Also the cute little flower hair clips that are in style right now inspired me to add a little bling to the center of the flowers. I love the flowers in the Greenhouse Garden stamp set. With my Stamp-a-ma-jig I was able to set the outlines of the flowers just right within the colored stamp image. This was one of the great stamp sets I received as part of my starter kit! I was so excited to receive it especially at 15% off during Sell-A-Bration. For the thank you sentiment, I used another great stamp set, Hodgepodge Happiness, I received this set free as one of my choices for Sell-A-Bration. Here's the recipe (catalog numbers included):
